This unit has, what looks like some kind of paint spill around the touchpad, which also got on the bezel above the screen. Everything works as it should. We tried, but there is no getting that off. This unit is ideally suited to the shop where no one cares about what it looks like, as long as it does the job. This unit is up for the task.

Also, a drain-away design is built into the optical drive enclosure to further protect it from liquid damage. We can't say that we recommend putting these to the test, but you can feel confident knowing that whatever environment it's put in, the Panasonic Toughbook is made for it.
